Programme Overview
The PhD by Research in Nutrition & Dietetics is a specialised, research-focused programme dedicated to the in-depth study of nutrition’s role in the prevention, management, and treatment of diseases, as well as in enhancing overall health and physical performance. This programme emphasises the development and evaluation of evidence-based nutritional strategies, dietary interventions, and public health nutrition initiatives.
Objectives
- Train leading researchers in the field of nutrition and dietetics
- Develop evidence-based nutritional programmes for diverse population groups
- Investigate the impact of nutrition on chronic diseases, metabolic health, and physical performance
- Innovate in the design of personalised therapeutic diets
- Produce and disseminate high-impact scientific research at national and international levels
Admission Requirements
Academic Qualification:
- Master’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, food science, public health, or related fields
- Language Proficiency: C1 (CEFR) in English
Other Requirements:
- Submission of an advanced research proposal relevant to nutrition and dietetics
- Preferably with prior research experience or publications in the field of nutrition

📝 Graduation Requirements
- Completion of research activities equivalent to 180 ECTS
- Publication or acceptance of at least two scientific papers in recognised peer-reviewed journals
- Successful defence of the doctoral dissertation
