Programme Overview
Herbal Medicine & Phytotherapy is a branch of medical and pharmaceutical sciences focused on the use of medicinal plants and plant extracts for the prevention, treatment, and improvement of health conditions. This research-based programme emphasises scientific studies, laboratory analysis, systematic reviews, clinical trials, and evaluation of the therapeutic effects of medicinal plants.

Admission Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in pharmacy, medicinal plants, chemistry, biotechnology, medicine, or related fields

  • Initial research proposal or statement of purpose

    2 years (extendable by one semester) – 120 ECTS

📝 Graduation Requirements

  • Completion of research activities equivalent to 120 ECTS
  • Publication or acceptance of at least one scientific paper in a recognised journal
  • Successful defence of the Master’s thesis

  • Publication or acceptance of at least two scientific papers in recognised peer-reviewed journals
  • Successful defence of the doctoral dissertation
